Umm, there's something a bit odd here. As is shown, the outer ring adds nothing to the gimbal's function - all it possibly does is obstruct the view of the clock. Shouldn't the outer ring swivel on the column stand on the 6 o'clock position , and then the clock ring tilt from pivots at the 9 & 3 o'clock positions?

That was my thought, the outer ring just obstructs the view and movement instead of adding to it.

Your workmanship is impeccable and I learned a lot from your video. However, this is not a gimbaled clock. The clock is rigidly attached to the base and the outer ring is floating free. The movement needs to be free-floating with respect to the surface the base is sitting on. A better design would have been to attach the outer ring to the base and let the inner ring float. Just my 2 cents, I think the techniques you showed were well worth the watch. Thanks.
