I have a beautiful old wooden bed that I bought in France several years ago while living there. Anyway, the bed got squeaky and the metal slat frame broke thanks to me and our old lab jumping on the bed! I couldn't bring myself to dump the headboard and footboard as they're so lovely. @@BellaRenovare Unfortunately not. It's a wooden bed with a scene carved into the headboard. It's just gorgeous and I couldnt dump it. We left a louis XIV bed behind us (along with a few other things) that we intended going back for but fate intervened and we never did get to return for them. Had to tell the people who were storing them to just sell them and keep the money for the cost of storing them. I think they donated them to charity instead. Breaks my heart thinking of it.
