If you have iOS 16, you will need to search “share” instead of “save file”. Once you go to your gallery and upload to shortcut you can save it wherever you need to. 😊

While editing the shortcut swipe up the menu at the bottom, hit apps, then photos, look for latest video then done. I did this and it worked. Your adding an additional shortcut after adding encoded media; so follow this video then add mine at the end.

so the only thing you have to do different is: 1. when in the video he says to click the little blue circle icon, instead click the little "I" icon at the bottom of the screen. 2. when he says search "save file" search "share".

I have made screen recordings on my iPad with the speaker volume turned down. I did get both video and sound but have no idea how plugging in headphones would affect it. Next time you may have to listen through the speaker. At least see if that works.

Thanks for posting! On an iPhone 11, and when I go to Photos, click on the shortcut we created, the shortcut processes, and populates the Files app (I presume to choose where to save). Here's the catch: Files seems to be overlaying on top of Photos, showing only the left half of the app, but pushed to the right side of the screen.. Restarted the phone to no avail. Anyone else experiencing this? The files won't scroll over to browse or anything, yet you can still click the cancel button in the top left, and type into the search bar.
