The part Oddprophet says about not always needing a separate sub is actually something that's not highlighted enough. Sometimes having a separate sub doesn't sound as organic as having the built in sub. Koan Sound and a lot of neuro producers(also uk/deep dubstep producers) don't tend to use a separate sub. You can limit or clip the sub so its consistently hitting a certain level.

Fr it’s music, not an IKEA table. When you’re ready you’ll have to quit instructions and someone else’s patterns. Music is not about buildup > pre drop vocal > drop. Neither it’s about separating sub bass😂

why my bass sound mor distorted than yours. I mean yours sounds pretty cleran but mine is like distorted and filthy.

you need to equalise the sound before it goes into the distortion, add a slice eq before any distortion and see what group of frequencies are the loudest. For example, if your gun sounds like a bass boosted meme, your sub going into the distortion is probably too loud and needs equing down with a low shelf! I hope that helps, if not, have a look at getting mentoring with a mentor to see if someone can help you fix the problem!
