Honestly relitive pitch is enough. He has said before he doesn't have perfect pitch, the reason it seems like he does is because he picks out the notes on the piano and if you know the piano the places where the notes are never change. So its easy to find the name of the note by looking at the piano with relitive pitch (hearing the general tone and being able to replicate it)

I bet he's talented, but most of what I see is a matter of understanding music. Which takes practise, reading up, expanding musical and just hours and hours of jamming and playing live. I know it's never meant to discredit the hours of work that are invested into this, but it feels like it. It's also why a lot of people find it hard to learn to play musical instruments, they expect this comes easy.
