How to turn coffee bags into a small purse 💛💚💙

Tutorial for coffee bag weaving. This purse is woven in three pieces that are joined with curling string. The strap is attached with d-rings. A fun and creative way to upcycle plastic coffee bags into durable and functional bags.
For the weaving you need:
- empty coffee bags (at least 16 coffee bags)
- paper or cardboard
- a pen
- scissors
- clothespins or other clips
- durable wooden sticks or knitting needles
To join woven pieces, you need:
- string (e.g. gift wrapping string)
- a needle
- scissors
- magnetic snap
- d-rings 3,5 cm wide (depending on the size of the coffee bags)
- strap (I crocheted mine with cotton string and clips for attaching)

Size of the strips: 15,2 x 7,2 cm
Width of the folded strip: ~2,4 cm
You need 12+24+10=46 strips for this project.
Size of the purse:
Height: ~ 15 cm
Base: ~ 4 x 18 cm (the inside measurements are smaller, just enough room for 16 cm smartphone)

Ciaooooo ….. hi, I was intrigued by your videos dedicated to the recycling of coffee bags to the point of wanting to try , but here you can’t find bags 15cm wide, the size you roughly use for your creations … I find bags that are either smaller or measuring 22 x 27 how do I create it support for exact measurements ? I ask you to help me if you can , l’ m not a genius with proportions .😂 thank you .

Is the width of the coffee bag 22cm or 27cm? The purse will be just a bit bigger, but you can use bigger coffee bags for this project. The formula for calculating the size of the strips is in the video: [(coffee bag width)-0,8cm]/6x3 so with 22cm wide coffee bags (22-0,8)/6x3=10,6cm, which you fold in three. With 27cm wide coffee bags (27-0,8)/6x3=13,1cm before folding. I hope this helps 😊
