Ok so a lot of people keep saying it's fake but you guys probably did it wrong. If you do EXACTLY what the man says then it works. It worked for me and I've been a mermaid for about a year now and everytime I take a bath my stupid tail appears. So yes, it is annoying turning into a mermaid everytime you touch water but it is very fun and the tail lasts until your dry.
