This is a much better method than the tutorials that cut off entirely below the fly and then re-attach the bottom of the skirt as one piece.

I love being a girl who not only can wear the skirt but knew how to sew it! bI thank my grand ma, Mom and sister who taught me how to do it. Tried it today...came out so well except that it was too tight...I think it works better when the trousers were loose on you... used a trousers that didn't fit so I think that explains why the skirt was equally skimpy... either than that the tutorial was really really help...hope to try it again on a bigger pants

Oh wow Cassie! Just watched Style Insider and she linked this tutorial. I couldn’t find a skirt I and was wondering about making my own but wasn’t quite sure how to go about it. I would prefer the opening not to be mid thigh - could you suggest how I could fill in the missing panel. I think I would prefer an opening in the back, but I have to say your skirt looks fabulous on you! Presumably a wider leg jean would be better for this type of transformation? Loved this, and I’ll probably go watch other videos you’ve done.
