in order to get the new animations you have to disable "prevents rendering of self player's model" option by pressing Y and going in the settings button, select the model called steve, it will let you use your own skin and you keep the animations.

Did what you said.. selected steve model, went to settings and ticked/checked "prevents rendering of self player's model" option.. But when ever i "tick" it it shows my skin without mod animations... But if I untick "prevents rendering of self player's model" it shows only steve model with mod animations

I swear I found a mod that added wearable night vision goggles with 3d models and everything. I even think they looked like GPNVGs, but now that I go looking I can't find it. I wonder if I dreamed it up? There is Simple Night Vision Goggles, but that isn't what I remember. It had a white phosphor version you could use as well. For the life of me I just can't find it.
