How to Turn Off All Front-end Lights on Chrysler 300, Charger, Other Mopars+ Daytime Running Lights

You might not think about needing all the lights in the front-end of your car to go out while the engine is running. But there are several situations where you might. With the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger, and some other Mopars, it's not as simple as turning the switch. If you stayed for the funny story, you saw how I learned this the hard way. That lady was not happy! Have any of you guys had a similar problem before?

Lol this is like a huge game changer. Thank you so much! I was also at a drive in movie when I first realized I couldn’t turn off my lights. I had several people yelling at me so I drove to the back and parked with my tail end to the front. Wish I knew this that night but better late than never!! Thank you again

Thank you. I rented this vehicle. First i couldn't find gas tank button. I tried manual and didnt see it on page 267 so i said youtube may have answer which they did. I tried to return this vehicle tonight to Enterprise location in Toronto, Canada. I have rented from this location several times in last 3 years and now they don't have a night drop off box. My former criminal mind pictured teams of 2 or 3 thieves with some kind of torch welders or saws that cut metals sawing off these security units with a lookout person for any police or owners or citizens coming to check out the job and i laughed a little. I was tired from 2 days of helping my 19 year old daughter with driving practice and wanted to drop off keys tonight instead of noon tomorrow with day business and end of year rentals. i just got home at midnight and the parking lights finally went to sleep after i had already turned the dash switch you showed in your video off completely and secured the lock icon on fob 2 or 3 times. Took 3 to 5 minutes for lights to finally go to sleep. I usually drive a 2005 Honda Civic i put a key in to turn over ignition so these cars of last ten or so years with push button starts, fancy covert gast tank button locations and a dial to shift between park, reverse, drive and low gear if i needed it are quite interesting to learn and sometimes frustrating for this near 54 year old man. So glad you are out of wheelchair. Your sense of humour with your twin in video was great. Good patience with the finger pointing lady. I probably would have said something foolish and semi confrontational and felt like an ass if she explained the lights were bothering her. Hope it was a good movie too.

So helpful and easy can’t believe I didn’t think of it myself! One thing…. My 300 has fog lights I cannot turn off. So I had the daytime lights like you have here, as well as the fog lamps that are always on. Thanks to you I’ve got the daytime running lights off, but not the fog lamps. It’s a 2018 300s any ideas?

probably would try software update xo.gl.tv txtin sucks.peace...do a google search,ive updated mine took 40mins but mine is my13 r/h drive.Australian.hope this helps oh or goto forums most are very helpful.

TheAcbro357 they’re not really blinking. Just looks that way on video because the frame rate of the camera and the frequency of the LED lights aren’t in sync. So it makes it look like they are flickering on the video. They aren’t really blinking, though.

all things interesting that’s just the camera. They aren’t really flashing (at least visible to the naked eye). I don’t know exactly how works, but, essentially, a car “modulates” LED lights, which means it turns them on and off at a rate to fast that the human eye doesn’t perceive it. But depending on the shutter speed of a camera, it does show up on video footage. This is an over simplification of what’s happening, but the point is that the lights were not flashing to my naked eye - only in the video footage.
