You can also stop the beeping by installing dummy seatbelt. It works but not recommended because you can’t wear a seatbelt

Didn't work in my 2015 Highlander XLE AWD V6 because the readout does not come back to odometer, it has a message where the odometer is stating IGNITION ON. This messes things up at step 7 because I cannot turn the IGNITION ON readout off without hitting the odometer button which messes up this process. Any idea on how to work around this on a 2015 Highlander?

08 Corolla - I couldn't get it to work until I read comment below to turn ignition ON/OFF 3x. I did that in both places and it worked! I then cut a 3/4" piece of blue painters tape to cover the flashing seatbelt light. I'll get used to the blue and I won't have to watch the flashing light.

So I can ride a motorcycle that has absolutely no protection and is very dangerous as long as I've got a little plastic lid on my head. But if I drive a car which has protection I'm required to wear a seatbelt. That makes about as much sense as pissing off of an overpass

Thanks mate, it was a huge help for me. After washing and cleaning my Yaris 2012, when I sat in the belt light was continuously on with a tremendous unbearable buzz.
