How to turn off and restart Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, or S24 Ultra. Also how to turn on and remap the side button to Power Off.

Or, OR, go into the settings right there under the power off menu in the first section and click "Side Button Settings". From there, you have options to use 2 actions. Long press the power button (press & hold) until you feel the haptic feedback to use either 1) Bixby or 2) open the Power Off Menu. You can also enable an action for quick Double Press to do 1) Quick Launch camera or 2) Open some other app. Both these option have been on the Galaxy phones now since the S-10 so look at them if you get frustrated at Bixby replacing what used to be a power button.

I went through the setup process and skipped the network part. Once done, I went back to the network part, put my old sim card in the new phone, rebooted it and it came up on the network.

Go here: Open your phone dialer Tap the 3 dots on the right corner (might be halfway down the screen) Select settings Select Answering and ending calls Toggle off "Press side button to end calls"

I think Samsung messed up trying to force Bixby on people instead of letting us choose to use it and maybe even missing an opportunity to add a 4th button strictly for Bixby instead of stealing the power button.

@@PhoneBattles You missed the opportunity to show people how to change the settings to make it EASY to power of f their phones. You had the Settings button right there in the first section and didn't even touch on it to show people how to disable Bixby and turn it back into a power button again. See my comment above for the details.
