I use this method from time to time! I'd reccomend putting maybe more clips at the top to make it lay flatter and have more security 👏👌 looks great!

Great idea, you are very resourceful. I like a more natural look too. Lace Fronts are great but not for everyone. I've ruined a few during this pandemic with over plucking the part lines and cutting too much lace off to get the right look. :( This is a good option, and $$$ saver. Keep posting!! This was so helpful! I straightened my natural hair last night and tried to straighten my curly hair clip in extensions too but they didn’t get that straight, so I thought of possibly turning my straight closure wig into a u-part🙌🏾

If you would have cut a u part out of the lace closure then it would have laid more flat because you made your wig 1 or 2 more inches wider so its not going to fit your head snug if that makes sense

The reason it didn’t lay flat is because you just cut straight through the lace. If you would’ve formed a more U shape with the part it would’ve laid flatter.

I think if you remove the closure, there will be an automatic u-shaped wig remaining, and that would eliminate some of the excess bulk that would occur from just splitting the closure in half. I’m not certain, but thats the idea that I had prior to watching your video . Thanks for making this! It’s nice to see someone else who thinks the same way I do when it comes to closures! 😂

I think it looks great. You say it doesn't lay flat. It's definitely ok! I hate those lace wigs and frontals too. No matter what is done to the ones with parts, it never looks natural in the sun light or in the light. Make up on the part doesn't look natural! Baby hairs look stupid. U parts or some leave out makes a big difference. It looks the most natural. I cant wait until the glue lace fad passes!

I'm so curious to try this- I don't know anything about wigs or all the pieces, I just want to add length and volume of my own curls and so tired of the maintenance of curly hair- I got it but NO TIME FO' IT! Also, braids and true weave is too much commitment, I just want clip in life and frankly, some of these wig sites just don't look safe! Your results look gorgeous and you are innovative plenty!!! I would only recommend you get a better microphone, demo of the install, and close up and down view pictures. (You know tall people see errrythang! ha) Also, I wonder if you added clips around the back, you could ponytail sometimes? Anyway, you are awesome and thanks!
