Hi, nice video but I still didn't get it how and where you connect your air hose that you use as sprayer hose on the squeegee tool. I have cleaning business in LA California for 30 years and I am little confuse of your modification... You might have a great idea, but some people haven't realize that commercial carpet extractors have 2 tanks - recovery (for dirty water) and solution tank (for hot water), some models has heater buit-in that heats the water to 160°F and sprayer hose must spray solution at least 60-100 PSI. As far as we know most of Shop Vac vacuums has only 1 tank for either dry or water pick-up. There's no solution tanks is available especially on 3-5 galon models like the one you demonstrated. So, it hard to determine by your video where's your solution tank that spray cleaning formula under pressure is located and which source provides the pressure for a sprayer. Some of STANLEY brand has both tanks for solution and dirty water, but they officially can be used as dry vacs or carpet extractors. Thanks

The tool itself is like $125.... i bought an extractor for less.... saves much more time with just switching tools/Vac than changing all those other things to convert it back into just a Vac to suck up larger stuff.

@@gardensofthegods it wont work better than the rigid, most extractors don't have near the power that the vacuum does especially at the price. just vacuum, take off the filter and buy the clear head its what i have been using for a while works great.

Thanks for this! That’s what I normally do, just spray water/\+solution from a pump sprayer. Great video!
@reaperreaper509829 күн бұрын
You can apply solution separately by just diluting it in a spray bottle. As for the hose bit, you just need to attach it to a source of clean water (not irrigation water). It can either be from your house/business, or a pump from a tank or drum.

Not really

The issue with many extractors in that price range is that their performance isn't as great as a decent shop vac, and they're generally not as good at picking up bits of junk that got missed when vacuuming.

Your water hose is WAY overkill. Its just garden hose pressure from a home tap, there's no need to use such a thick, heavy duty air hose and such heavy, clunky, quick disconnect fittings! You can easily get away with non-reindorced poly hose (3/8 is fine, you dont need the volume or pressure that a airline or even a garden hose can supply. You spray such little amounts of water that a tiny, clear, waterline is more than enough, then you're not "fighting" that stubborn airline and dragging it all over the interior of the vehicle etc. it makes coiling up your vacuum hose a LOT easier also!
