How am I suppose to use this guide? You're still able to enable it, it's just that booting into ChromeOS is blocked. You won't need to boot into ChromeOS in order to boot into SH1mmer however, you simply enable developer mode and then enter the recovery screen, THEN you put in your SH1mmer USB and proceed.

I found a way to downgrade from any current version by repeatedly recovering (but around 50 seconds into the "System Is Recovering" screen pull the USB out, if this doesn't work try again, but if it worked you should be on a "Chrome OS is missing or damaged" screen, which you can then install any version of Chrome OS. I only tested this on Chrome OS version 115, 119 and 120.

you can go to any version between v112 and v120, but if you try to go below v111 or v112 then it'll fail, no matter what lol it's firmware based, there aren't any workarounds other than booting into a lower version (E-Halcyon)

try downgrading your ChromeOS version to a version such as 110 or 107, make sure you aren't using 111 or newer either by the way. if your Chromebook has been on 112 or newer you can't downgrade either jsyk

yes, the unenrollment is permanent and you can re-enroll at any time (though i recommend disabling write protection first!) also yes, it is safe to update to the latest version of CrOS after unenrolling, just know if you re-enroll and wanna unenroll in the future, i really recommend disabling write protection (WP) beforehand.

if it's still enrolled and you connect it to Wi-Fi, it'll probably track the last connected IP, but i can't be entirely sure because i've never seen what the admin panel looks like from an administrator's end

if it's still saying that for you then that means you did NOT put in the right one lmao. please take the shim that you downloaded, and put it through the sh1mmer web builder as shown in the video. after the sh1mmer web builder is finished, it will downloaded a file called "injected_shim.bin", take that file and use that instead for the recovery utility. do not use the shim that you just downloaded instead. this is explained in the video, please watch it properly

116 won't work 116 is affected by "The Fog" and can't downgrade below 111 116 will need to use fog.gay but that has limitations such as not being able to boot if the USB drive is not plugged in

you can still try making a SH1mmer USB but it'd be more difficult since you can't go to chrome://version to find your board name, you'll have to look at the model number or whatever at the bottom of your chromebook and then search from there. after that, as long as your board is compatible, try making a SH1mmer USB, then boot into that, and try un-enrolling. if it fails, then not sure what else you want me to do

the issue might be ur using a 5G internet connection because older models dont support that

this DOES work if developer mode is disabled by admin.. it doesn't matter if developer mode is blocked or not, that just stops you from booting into ChromeOS with developer mode on. it does not stop you from booting into SH1MMER or any other type of shim

watch the full video you have to enter developer mode in order to enter SH1mmer, it doesn't need to be unblocked or not, you just need it ""on"" so then you can enter SH1mmer. once you follow the full video, it WILL unblock devmode

you're not supposed to use CTRL + D which is what i said in the video, you're supposed to enable developer mode and then press ESC + Refresh + Power so you can get back on the recovery screen in order to plug in your SH1mmer USB
