you can use your games on the second sd card. all you need to do is go to setting -> advanced -> scroll all the way down untill you see "switch to main sd card for roms". that simple

If anyone has tried to set your second sd card in the settings and it says not found remove as card insert into pc and open the sd card it will prompt that it needs to be repaired. Run the repair and put it back into your device and attempt to have it read the second card again and it should work

Ok, i tried this on a BRAND NEW SD card (i used an old one without realizing it was corrupted beyond repair), it worked like a charm, but to use the other slot, you just have to head to options > advanced, scroll to the very bottom and you can change the SD slot you want to read the roms from. Even my favorites list shows the one I chose before. Don't know if someone else already said it.

Actually seems to work pretty well for me. But for some reason most of the psp games won't boot at all. When i try to start for example AC Bloodline it just kicks me back to the psp games folder... Is someone facing the same problem?

@scaryifliteral 10:00 don't do it that way, just go to "Options", then "Advanced", use the right joystick and make one move up so you go to the last option in the list faster and you will see: "switch to main sd for roms", select that and let the gameboy do it's job and enjoy.

@@nassbeajj1094 For OS i use SanDisk, and the games slot is better with a Samsung. The Samsung i use for games (my Powkiddy does not recognize SanDisk in the game's slot), is a "U3 - V30 - 128 GB" that is fast as you see. And the OS runs with Sandisk "C10 - U1 - A1 64 GB". But as i tell you, you need SanDisk for OS, and Samsung for games.

Not OP; but, I'm looking up what I need to patch up my R36S. According to Redditors who've already done what I've got to do, these "Game Console" devices can't read SanDisk or Lexar cards in Slot 2 - the ROMs slot. That would also apply to any store brand cards made by them as well. You pretty much can only use Samsung or PNY made cards. Nobody knows why it is, just that it is that way. I think TeamGroup is another brand that'll work. Interestingly, Slot 1 - the OS Slot couldn't care less what brand of card you use in it. Maybe Powkiddy is using the same parts as the "Game Console" brand handhelds and as a result has the same incompatibilities?

Hey, I got the powkiddy rgb20s about a month ago and it just started that when I open a game the screen stays black. I can hear the game running, the games music going, but only a black screen shows. I am thinking it may be the SD card but I am not sure and do not want to spend the time or money on a new SD card if that won't fix my problem. Any advice would be awesome!

Do to do this you're gonna want a microsd to USB, and you're gonna want a new MICRO sd, you're gonna want to copy the operating system over and none of the games on a 16-32gb sd card, and then you download the movies under PSP or which ever

I have this. I got the 64GB version. It was all going smoothly up until one time when the Dreamcast and PS1 games won't start. So, I googled and saw this video and another one with the same problem. I followed the steps of the other YT video using a new SD card for the OS. And I even bought a new 256GB card for the games. The games SD card won't load, much like what happened to you. So, I thought that maybe, the Powkiddy RGB20S can't handle sd cards that big, so I tried to copy my files into a different 64GB card that I have. Still didn't work. The other person who made a similar video said that he had success using a 128GB card, so I bought one. When I set it up, still, it didn't work. Following your video is now my last resort to increasing the SD card capacity of my Powkiddy RGB20S. It just sucks that it is so sensitive as to what SD card it will work with. I hope that this time, it will work.

you need to make sure the sd card is in the format of FAT32 or simply just use a 32 gb sd.. but u can change ur sd card to FAT32 just look into it online

When I got my PowKiddy RGB20S, I immediately made disk images of both cards. If you have a Linux machine, you can mount the 2nd partition of the boot SD card, which is a linux partition and edit /etc/fstab for the last line to have "vfat,exfat", instead of just "vfat" and that fixed my version from being bricked. Please let me know if/where you want me to put my disk image capture.

I experienced the same error very quickly and bought two new sd cards. Thanks for explaining everything now. What I'm wondering is, did you transfer all the games on the broken sd card to the sd card where you installed arkos or to the second sd card, I couldn't see you doing that in the video. Once you save to slote 2.. go to the menu shut system down take card 2 out put it in your pc the put the games inn the correct folders...

I had issues saving and loaded a saved state and I was watching videos to try and figure it out but didn’t wanna do all the extra steps but I literally just took out and reinserted the sd card with ark downloaded on it and now it’s working just fine so maybe try that if you don’t wanna go through the hassle of the steps

I'm so pissed of on this device. I doesn't always turn on. It's not that easy also to reinstall everything again. It doesn't recognize the games. The gameboy games totally stopped working. I think it's the sd card.

I successfully used the RG3531MP Amberelec img to use on mine, flash the latest image to the OS card and format the second card to exfat and it will auto populate the card with the directories ready to be filled.. hope that helps someone 🙂 ~Edit. Switching over to Unofficialos as amberelec has a low audio bug on RG20s, UOS has a img for the RG20s

Someone may know the Solution to my Problem: I changed the keybindings from the DraStic emulator on my PowKiddie RGB 20s and now i cant navigate through the menu cause my bindings are ducked up. A family member had a problem with their device. Where it would not start up and the yellow light was on permanently. Saw on another site: to hold the power button to re-boot it. 20 seconds or so and it worked perfectly...
