How to Understand Matcha Labels

My all-time favorite matcha brand is from Jadeleafmatcha, and I always use their ceremonial grade matcha powder for my homemade lattes ❤ Needless to say, that I hate coffee. That crap makes my stomach upset

Hello Matcha Friend! A couple of matcha brands even sell there matcha as grade AA, AAA or AAA+ haha which was very confusing 😆 Great video though! I would love if you checked out my Christmas Matcha Lattes Recipes video btw there super cute :)

Great video! Do you know the origin of the marketing terms Ceremonial Grade and Culinary Grade? I've done some cursory searches for the origin of this classification, but can't figure out when, where, or whom the inventor was

Great question! Here’s the (maybe disappointing) answer: culinary and ceremonial are not real grades. They are marketing terms; like “premium” “best” or “economy.” They have no real basis in the Japanese Tea industry or history.
