@@j-may that's great. ❣️I'm pretty nerdy so I began astrology as a "statistical analysis" of sorts on certain things that happened after the fact.... I practice Buddhism (because I'm like a kindergartner and thrive with the simpleness of it) but appreciate and find resonance with all beliefs....so Im really appreciative I found Acyuta bhava for further studying process.... as I did look into several other teachers first.... and leaned toward Jyotish As first and foremost I turn to knowing myself, my soul and my own inner guidance..... And use astrology as a "dress for the weather" which really is.... Kind of a difficult working to find with astrologers...... Maybe especially western? The methodical practice with the spiritual practice needed as well. I really feel fortunate to have found a group that is more open to all ways... I feel happy and at home here. I'm very new, I get my answers thru the other means... But I never feel like I'm getting astro shamed 💖🌱🙏 even when my lack of previous study shines. Brightly. 😆

Perhaps it’s odd, but I’ve come to regard my natal chart as simply a reflection of the celestial weather pattern that was occurring when I drew my first breath. It’s profound imprint affects my soul as a garment I donned when entering this life - it colors my attitudes and being...it can be used, dealt with, enjoyed and lived...but it remains for all my life. I learn from it, I refine it...but I can’t really change it. As to the transiting interaction of that pattern and the current celestial weather...well, it’s just there, it is what it is. For example, my 11th house Saturn in Virgo will always square my 9th house Gemini Sun, Mercury and Mars...but wait Mars is really in the 8th...so I study and strive to learn and as I age, I come to appreciate the discipline such a feature requires...and there are so many layers of interactions...as to current events, I’ve given up trying to count how many planets and points of interest the upcoming eclipse is ‘hitting’ in my natal chart - let’s just say, I expect big doings/life changes are afoot in the months to come.😳🤗 Thank you for encouraging me and for your gentle, yet strong insights. 😌 🙏

As a Sag rising with natal sun in Libra 11th house I was always confused because I’m very much an introvert and had a hard time relating to why my Libra sun in the 11th didn’t yield a fabulous social life! 😂 now I see it so clearly - the sun in fall opposed by retrograde Saturn in fall in Aries and born under first quarter moon. My sun probably wants that social life but most of the time gets whipped back in line by Saturn and the moon. Yes lots of layers in there!

Libra Sun and Moon and Ascendant is Gemini. The Moon is squared by Saturn and that also makes sense that I'm rarely as social as I 'd like and feel not able to communicate as much as I'd like. My Mercury and Neptune is in Libra too.

I think many people have learned to relate to their sun sign first and foremost. That they may not really know the depths of their other signs. Or that they haven’t spent enough time in other areas. For potentially years, only relating to their sun sign or relating to it the most. I used to feel the same way until I started diving in deeper and getting more personal with the entire thing.

I am one of those who for years always said I didn't identify with my Taurus rising and am just recently understanding why. I have one of those heavy airy Venusian twists lol with my Venus and so many planets in Aquarius. My moon is in Aries and most of the time I "feel" like an Aries. I have changed thinking for quite a while to use my Aquarius rising sign! I am a Leo Sun and do identify with Leo a lot. I feel I am a Leo in so many ways but am also very Aquarius! At the 24:39 where you write down the keywords of the chart example is really interesting. It would be nice to see you write down more of examples like that, chains with keywords. A great way to learn and practice, I think. There you say ”a Lunar Person with an airy Venusian twist”. So, if there’s a planet in the first house, is it more important than the ruler of the Asc? As an example I take a person with Cancer Asc Cancer Sun: A sunny person with lunar watery twist? And since she’s got Moon in Gemini, how would I continue? “A sunny person with a lunar watery twist with an airy playful twist”? 😅

Another good discussion - your talk of the "layers" of astrology really drives home what intricate and well designed tapestry our lives are. I see you almost as a weaver, lifting the fabric to show everyone the celestial warp and weft of their lives. And - another important topic for those of us with no exact birth hour. I have struggled for years to figure out my rising sign (I've brought this up before so pardon the repetition) and in my case, my Mom's vague "sometime in the morning" was of no help because the difference between 7:00 am (Virgo Asc and Sun in 12th house) an 8:00 am (Libra ascendant, Sun in 1st house) was significant. But after listening to you for over a year, I think I've been able to "reverse engineer," which ascendent is the right one. I've taking notes on your transit talks, watching for what a Virgo rising and a Libra rising could expect that month. It's been super helpful and I'm close to figuring it out - many thanks!

Love the clarity of this talk. I'm a virgo rising with Mercury sd in Pisces in the 7th. Jupiter is in Aquarius in the sixth. "I had a dream that I dreamed the world and the world was dreaming me. The message in my dream was simply to serve the world through words of carry water - chop wood." It's not very Aries Sun nor is it too Virgo. It's more Pisces/Mercury mixed with daily routines, the mundane and the sacred.

Growing up, my mom would always read her daily sun sign horoscope and mine as well. There were very few things I could identify as being a Capricorn sun. A few years back I questioned this to a friend of mine who studied astrology and he said 'You are a Gemini Rising...and then also pointed out many other things in my natal chart and as I began studying and looking into those things, it's like the lightbulb finally went on. At first thought I couldn't see any 'gemini traits' in me..but wait, my gosh, that explains this and that...I was blind and now I see type of thing. I must have gotten into a habit of just trying to pull anything Capricorn-like in me to identify with, I was forgetting about the other sides of me. In all honesty, I am this multi-faceted person due to all the signs and planetary locations I was born within. It's pretty incredible when you realize it. Certain areas waiting till to be polished or revealed more if I dare explore further. Others needing a lot of work. Totally mind blowing when you think of it. Astrology is an amazing useful tool for lack of a better word.

Yes -- I have a chronic and somewhat rare form of reflux that is incredibly sensitive and often difficult to manage (though I am a very health conscious person)...I don't like to talk about it because it can be embarrassing but also because then people come out of the woodwork offering "free" and unsolicited advice or trying to say where they think it comes from or what I should do, etc., and it can be really annoying to deal with! :) It began, by the way, when Uranus entered my first whole/sign house!!!!

If anyone has followed instructions on a Recipe, it isn’t one ingredient that’s makes breads and cookies, etc. Sugar is important for the yeast to bloom for breads. Salt is needed to enhance the flavor. Have you eaten homemade bread without salt in it? It taste flat and like cardboard. Dark sugar makes some recipes chewy like chocolate chip cookies. I’m no expert but: first it means you were born with the sun in the first house, near dawn or when the sun is rising in the east- I think it puts a lot more of your life path /energy into your outward demeanor, actual body or vitality. Sun first house ppl are usually “bigger personalities” or more obviously representing the sun in their outward ways. It’s like you’re wearing that planet on your face. Again, this is just me thinking out loud, but you can find lots of info on this subject out there.

I'm a Sagittarius Rising with Jupiter in the 1st house, conjunct my ascendant. (Both at 1 degree of Sagittarius.) I have Uranus, Neptune and the South Node in the 1st house. Uranus is loosely conjunct Jupiter (3 degrees from each other.) All planets in the first are retrograde. Including Jupiter. Does retrograde motion affect how a planet expresses itself in a chart? Especially if it's the chart ruler? As a side note I'm an 8th house Cancer sun with a 12th house Scorpio moon.

I thought you might find this interesting; in 1977 or 78 I asked the Lord when I could go home, having messed up my first chance, and He took me to another planet (or so I thought) and showed me this huge planetary conjunction. I didn't understand the timing but understood that it was a very rare occurrence. I was only 17 or 18 and I never thought it would be over 40 years! I hope Yeshua comes soon, it's magnificent that we are having the conjunction now. Maranatha Lord Jesus, I'm barely hanging on.

You have me kind of concerned when you said astrology is sort of like divination. The bible condemns divination. I was thinking divination is like contacting the dead or something like that. So what exactly is divination and what is scripture meaning when it condemns divination? I don't really want to give up listening to astrology podcasts.
