So i have been looking all over for a fix for this, but my problem is that I decided to not use voice meeter and when I uninstalled the program, my mic was permanently quieter than it used to be. I have gone through many help centers for Windows with no luck. I have my mic set to 100% in Windows sound settings. The weird thing is that my mic sounds normal 5 minutes after my computer boots up, but then reverts to being super quiet after that. This never happened before installing voice meeter. Any help would be so nice.

Check global defaults, volume levels and make sure your inputs and outputs are back to their default settings.

@@AndrewAlliance I tried this already with no luck. I also went extreme and reset my whole pc to make everything default. Still doing this and barely picking up audio. At this point I may just trash my current mic (Hyper X Quadcast) and get a new Quadcast. I will never touch this program again.

The issue is that when you try to uninstall, a Voice Meeter window appears that asks if you want to INSTALL, not Un-install. Can't get rid of.

Finally i did it just follow my step ,go to device manager look for ,Sound, video and game controllers and delete VB driver amd make user you tick delete driver from device.

I did this and it worked perfectly to uninstall Voicemeeter! However, now my Ethernet connection/adapter will disappear for 20 minutes (disconnecting me and switching to WiFi) and then come back (disconnecting me and switching back to Ethernet). I've tried to update every driver, unplugged/replugged my ethernet cable, scanned for hardware changes, restarted my PC repeatedly, to no avail. I ordered a new cable just in case, but it happened right after I did this so I'm not sure it's a separate issue. Any ideas on how this could have potentially caused this?

I went in and uninstalled the drivers. On top of that, I uninstalled the driver that it connected itself to (Elgato Sound Capture). That worked for me. This program is parasitic, imo. I don't know why it latched onto my Elgato Sound Capture, but now I'm afraid to reinstall that out of fear that VM will come back and mess everything up again. I know people swear by this, but I'm never installing this again. I don't know why it has high reviews in so many places. I'm beginning to think they're paid reviews.

@@konvincing I just deleted all voicemeeter files on my pc, I couldn't find it in program files but i did find it by clicking the windows key then scrolling down and then finding VB Audio and then opening the file location and then from there on i just deleted it. Then i reinstalled it. Not really a fix but it did remove voicemeeter

the Target Directory folder doesn't exist.. I go to the exact location, where "Voicemeeter" should be in the "Documents" folder, but there is nothing there by the "Voicemeeter". But that's where Voicemeeter itself says it is. Please help!

Voicemeeter. Uninstalling it left my PC in a state where I couldn't both hear and record audio at the same time. I'm still not certain I've fully removed everything it left on there. I'm sure the software is fine but the program needs a more robust uninstall program because as it is, it's a menace.

This is the only way... because after uninstalling the program, the drivers are removed from it, but... probably incorrectly... and I had to reinstall voice meter... it's so confusing because chatgpt tells you after uninstalling, try removing the uninstalled drivers from the software... and that doesn't work... so I installed it again as I already wrote and removed it according to the video... and yes, I didn't believe it was that primitive, so why can't you uninstall the software but not completely? There should be instructions during uninstallation on how to uninstall it correctly!!!

Great video man! I'm curious though, What makes using Geek Uninstaller different here from just using Windows Apps & features to uninstall? It it like DDU where it uninstalls certain files and folders that the normal uninstaller would miss?
