If you haven't had the phone for a hundred and eighty days you can call Metro tell them that the location that you are in does not have Metro Services I.E Ashland Wisconsin they will go through troubleshooting steps after you let them know that that still doesn't work they will unlock the phone for you.I only had my phone for four days and they unlocked mine it we'll take the technician team 3 to 5 days to contact you back.if you use Twitter I've seen it done the same day over the phone

It means you cannot unlock the phone until it has been on the metro network for 180 days. After that you will be able to unlock the phone.

I was about to say this is useless because you can't unlock a Metro phone unless it's been active for 180 days but you posted that... But yeah After that all you gotta do is simply call them and they'll do it free!! So yeah no point in doing all this IMO...

So basically you wait the 180 days. Gee...no magic to that!! Anyone else want to permanently unlock BEFORE the 180 days,give doctor sim website a look. I've used em,and they're great. Only once they couldn't unlock a phone for me and they immediately refunded my money.
