Yeah, it is currently bugged for a lot of players Been playing with it for the last few days and killed all the bosses with the staves as well as tons of bugs. We will just have to wait on obsidian to drop a patch for it.

They should add a salt staff that’s earth elemental themed and shoots acidic salt crystals in a mist that lowers enemies armor/defense and makes them take more damage from other sources while debuffed from the corrosive salt staff, maybe charging it up releases a huge salt bolder that explodes on impact leaving a corrosive salty acid pool wherever it hits that leaves a pool of lingering caustic salty damage that hurts all who walk into it.🤓

What about something completely new like a defense staff to keep it simple give it the salt element and then make it like you can shot a little salt crystal wall infront or around you that stays for a couple seconds or gives enemy a debuff

@@jeremybender3712 my problem is that I'd want to use the staff offensively too against antlions and termites, that said I think that idea would be cool to replace the heavy attack of staves, obvi rework the mint staff but having a defensive alternative does sound like a fun mechanic

@@noahmorales3768 Just make sure to save frequently and all should be fine. I just stepped away for a few and am loading it back up now to see where the last save was. I’ve got my hunting technique down so I really didn’t lose too much. Just hard to lure wolf spiders into the spot at the oak tree where the milk molar was under the stacked leaves.

If you where planning on running through and dying and respawning and didn't bring all your gear.. bring an axe.. tier 3 to get in there's splinters blocking the path.. it's not shown in the video or mentioned that you need it....

@@84bt I didn't bring an axe. I dropped all my gear outside at a respawn point (died of starvation) then booked it avoiding termites, tiger mosquitos and wolf spiders as much as possible. But I've upgraded these staffs fully and personally I think they kinda suck. I wanted it to replace the bow but don't think I can.

me too, got all the way in there only to find I needed the "termite" axe". So you have to kill some first then go all the way back to base to make one, then go back. Quite a hike!

You have to have the oven. You bake them into the globs.

If you need to farm ant parts, here ya go: *it's easier to wear red ant armor for this, they can't see you in it unless you hit them 1. Go to the anthill 2. Piss off a nearby stink bug 3. Drag said stink bug to the anthill 4. Get it to splash gas on the anthill 5. Get outa there The stink bug will take down everything in the first wave and a ton of other ants. This does not count towards seiges, as YOU didn't kill the ants. Go collect the corpses By doing this, a bunch of ant eggs will spawn. You can check immediately, I always find at minimum 2-6 from this method, but I'm unsure how ant eggs properly work

Also the staffs crafting recipes should all involve the haze fungus being infused into the staff to create a living weapon that shoots out highly reactive fungal spores that are infused with the chemicals in the candy causing them to produce different effects that look like magic but it’s really just a strange form of a sci-fi weapon. The citric acid in the wormhole sour candy reacts with the unstable haze fungus spores to make a ball of electrical discharges, the capsaicin in the hot cha chas reacts explosively and is highly flammable due to the spores being sensitive/reactive to oxygen, the mint staff expels a fine mist of haze spores mixed with the cooling menthol in the mints to create a freezing mist of thermal hungry spores that slow enemies down. If they add a salt staff my hypothesis is the salt fusing with the fungal spores would dehydrate them and make them extremely moisture hungry to the point of being an extremely caustic substance that strips water from those hit by it in a way that lowers armor defense by literally melting it while lowering hp over time like poison damage but it’s neither poison nor venom so spiders aren’t immune to its effects, it would be a new damage called caustic damage though that might already be in the game as Bombardier beetles termites and fire ants do use burning acid as a projectile weapon.🤓

Sadly though for the Sour Staff your limited with gathering it since your need 1 Widow Fang, 4 Deadly Venom, and 10 Woven Silk (Spider Web.) which sadly the Black Widows are to this day not respawnable. Just like last time with Fireflies respawning this is now a reoccurring issue. Whenever there’s an update something bound to break, sheathed bugs or resources not respawning. Sadly for most players who managed to get the Widow Dagger there are those, including me who haven’t gotten it and are sadly Softlocked from getting the Sour Staff.

It takes many many days in game for some resources and creatures to respawn.. my friend also noticed that the way to get lint and other stuff to respawn is with actually sleeping. If you're not slepping it apparently interferes with respawns

Whittle wizard mutation is bugged. I've killed well over 200 between all 3 staves. made a new custom save to see if maybe it was because my main save was before 1.0 and still nothing with over 350 kills counted. wiki just updated says it 50/100/200 like all the others. legit ruined my play through of the game cause of this bug trying to figure out how to get it but no it a bug cause the game shit
