For those who looking for RHD method. Everything has to be in the opposite. Key curve side is pointing down. And turn the key to clockwise until u have a resistance and push harder till a click and turn it back to original position.

there is a ground post for the negative connection. use that. its on the driver side of the compartment and is labelled as a negative terminal. its on the pillar that the wiper system is attached to. also, better to use just a trickle charger to pop the bonnet using the fuse box connector, you don't need to use a jump box. this connector is not a fuse by the way, it is a positive terminal to power the hood latch. lastly, the LifePO4 battery is not likely "dead". it is just sleeping. The battery has internal circuity that protects it against excessive discharge which puts it to sleep. it just need a little kick to wake up. if your battery is truly dead, you will need to replace it. if you attempt to jump a truly dead lithium battery, you may start a fire. call for service/tow. you can use another car to jump the car as long as you use the negative terminal post and not the negative battery terminal. you can also charge it for at least 10 minutes with a lithium ion capable trickle charger.

Appreciate the advice. However, I do not believe a trickle charger will work for popping the bonnet. Even the instruction manual says to use jumper cables and a car battery. As far as the battery being “dead” I agree that was the wrong term for it. I figured saying dead would make more sense to most people and show up better for people searching what to do. In reference to the pop out terminal for the bonnet, fuse didn’t sound right but I wasn’t sure what to call it. lol I need to update the video, but it did end up requiring a jump to “wake” the battery. Really appreciate the tip about the negative post. I overlooked that. I’ll see if I can annotate with the correct terms in post. Cheers!

FYI there should be a bolt with a label that is specifically there for grounding (usually on driver's side)

Exactly, dont use the negative point in the battery, use the ground indicated

Excellent. Thank you. What is the worst that can happen if one uses a lithium ion rated Boost like NOCO Boost Plus GB40 1000A UltraSafe Car Battery Jump Starter after entering the frunk? Great video.

I think if it’s lithium rated it’s probably fine, but I’m just a guy on KZbin. Lol

Hi, presume i can only use a jump starter to power the fuse box not a jump start from another car battery?
@krazyk86cuАй бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, but yes, using another car battery would work to pop the front trunk.

I have tried two jump boxes (Halo and ACMount) neither powered the fuse box. Running jumper cables to another car works fine. I am looking for a jump box that will work. It seems the model shown in this video is no longer available.
