bro's...I found why you guys are getting white asus screen and stuck after recovery mode....because you used new twrp img file, use the same file that is old twrp img file twrp-3.0.0-0-Z008.img.....Then it worked for me....!

what you have to do is that run that restore file which is in bootloader unlock file ,switch off your device go in bootloader mode and run that file then you will be able to install twrp on your device Thank you:)

I was about to manually install the lineageOS update, but I accidentally swiped factory restore. Is there anyway I can get the update file online? Mine is Zenfone 2 Ze551ML. I tried starting from the top by wiping everything and reinstalling the rom but it only boots me into TWRP. I also tried restoring backup files but is also boots me into TWRP. I cannot boot into fastboot. I am stuck. PS: I tried the "fastboot continue" method but it boots me into TWRP. Do you think intalling a new rom will help?

+John Lemuel Ermita Installing new Rom is the only solution to this and don't forget to wipe cache / dalvik cache before rebooting the system whenever you install new Rom to your device Thank you :)

I have made a backup before I installed the Lineage OS custom Rom. Can I use that instead of downloading new files, because the internet here is really bad. My problem is how I am going to install it. I tried restoring it but I keep on coming back to the TWRP. Someone told me to, "eboot to fastboot mode. flash stock bootloader and recovery. reboot in stock recovery and then factory reset device and sideload firmware. alternatively you can flash raw firmware manually" So I am now downloading the stock boot.img and recovery.img. I will be flashing them with ADB the ADB tool. Is this what he wants to tell me? Then I will reboot in stock recovery, select factory reset and sideload firmware. I honestly don't get the "sideload firmware" part but can I use the one that I have backed up? But how? What I am really trying to say is that I really want to use the backup that I have made to save time, but I really dont know how. I really appreciate your help.

Techies need help!!! I guess this model Asus zenfone max (snap 615 with marshmallow) does not have any bootloader unlocker...searched like hell last few months....got to see many frustrated users ( =like me).....asus have not released any unlocking tool for this model....so can anyone suggest if there is anyway to unlock the bootloader......asus have released a bootloader unlocking tool for their zenfone max ( snap 410 version). but not for this one. Further everytime i want to flash something using fastboot i get this message: Failed ( remote: permission denied)....i have checked and removed all forms of pin , pattern or screen lock on the phone.....further after extensive research i have understood this: 1. Unloack bootloader first. 2. Then install TWRP 3. Install Supersu.zip ( this completes rooting of the phone). But i cant complete the first step because there is no official bootloader unlocker released.....further i hv searched several forums ...cant find any other tool to unlock the bootloader...can any body suggest sm tool so that i can get rid of this problem ??? please help!!!

+Santanu Mandal I think don't root your phone because boot loader unlock file or apk for your model is in developing stage (beta) so it is risk to unlock boot loader of ZenFone max and I don't know that much about zenfone max Thank you :)
