Your motorbike doesn't have ECU restriction. If it did have an ECU restriction, you would have loop wire on that connector, which you suppose to cut. Your motorbike has dummy plug that serve only as a weather protection. Only Australian models (that I am aware of) have both ECU and throttle restriction.
@nathangarciamuro4 жыл бұрын
Correct. I found out at a later stage. I remove the plug to install a gear indicator which is another video in the channel. However, it is good to check the plug in case there’s is a ECU restriction. Here in Spain, the 2018 onwards I believe the restrictions are done in the ECU itself without any mechanical mechanism so the o my way to unrestrict the bike is via the dealership. Thanks for the comment.

The removal of the throttle stop was great, well done. The 2nd part though actually may harm your bike. That Sir is the OBD II connector for shop diagnostics. What you removed was a weather proof cap that also ties the two grounds together so you don't have a floating ground in your ECU. Now that you do have a floating ground by removing the cap you can expect a range of random and intermittent prolblems that will drive you mad. You should put the cap back on.

Because in Europe, specially in Spain, there are two types of motorcycle license, A2 and A1. A2 is for bikes with 45 HP or less. Ir is mandatory to pass the A2 exam and ride for 2 years before you try to get the A1. Therefore to sell more bike and appeal to the young market then they restrict the bike from 61 to 45 HP so people like me can ride. :-)
