The difference between how I work with the FMC and you do is insane. We dont have any ATIS, Pre Loaded routes, Pre Loaded flight plans, We have to do it all manually. This is Alien to me which it quite funny

I think the automatic stuff are more common in the USA and less so in Europe and Asia

@@Groveish I think you are right. I've heard from guys who fly out in Europe it is not commonplace for them to do all of that manually. Most companies there choose not to spend the money for uplink. Very common here in the US.

so you guys dont use the efb to calculate your perf? only via company acars ? or when its not available ou still have the efb to do it?

I can't speak for Capt. John, but at my company yes. If ACARS is inop we can use our tablet for that. Requires some extra due diligence.
