Select one by one both models and cross check the infotainment system coming on screen of your pc/laptop is matching with the one in the your car . And I don’t think wireless apple car play will work after the update as these are features provided with the infotainment system not with software updates.

better you start the vehicle. it will hardly take 10 to 15 min

Better do it with ignition as I read in one manual book of bluelink that update uses battery output so always keep engine on

OTA is atime consuming process it may take upto 2 to 3 hours for completion.. try updating it manually
