I just bought the Venture N4 Pro and before installing i wanted to update everything on the dash cam. I try the 2 methods that they recommend but it didn't work because the pc doesn't recognize the format that Venture N4 pro uses, and the second method because i can't be connected to the internet and to the camera at the same time on the phone. So i try your method but the first 3 or 4 times my pc was not detecting the DashCam or the DashCam was not connecting to the Pc. Either way the 5 time it work and i copy and paste the file, but i had to go to the car and plug it, because it didn't want to update connected to the pc. The image quality and sound is good on this DashCam but they make it almost impossible to update the firmware. It took me 3 hours of troubleshooting to finally updated it. Thank you for the video, and i hope that the installation will be easier to do. 🤣🤣

NEW UPDATE 6/23/2021 Note: Credit goes to Marc and I apologize for removing the comment, it wasn't intentional. I was trying to remove the pin instead. 1. Get the new firmware on the website. vantrue.net/Support/flleDlist/p_id/134.html 2. Format the microSD card or delete all files on your microSD card before copy the firmware files in. 3. Unzipped the .rar file "VTN41D.V10.3_20210527" on your computer, and copy the 12 files inside the unzipped folder to the microSD card - make sure to copy the 12 files, not the unzipped folder, to the microSD card's root directory; then unplug the card from the computer; 4. Plug the card into the camera; 5. Before connecting the camera to power, press and hold the M button on the left of the key area; and then connect it to power. 6. When the indicator on the camera blinks, you can take your finger away from the button, and the camera starts to upgrade; 7. It will take about 90 seconds till the camera upgraded successfully.

@@LSGproductions713 Good policy, a question though, when the car starts and the camera turns on, it starts recording, so if an event happens I press record again to save a 3 min clip? (last 3 minutes loop in settings) As I said, my first dashcam ever so still learning the correct use of it. This this cam with 3 channels is very good, the instructions take a bit to get straight.

@@LoneTiger If the model that you own haves crash detection then it'll automatically save the footage and lock it. But you can still manually hit the save button which is the first button to the left. It's what I personally do in case of an incident or etc.

I have the Vantrue OnDash N4 3-channel and I tried using my Macbook Pro 2019. It didn't recognize the camera plugged into the USB port. I followed your instructions except I copied the 2 files (as of 06-16-2024) to the SD card from the Macbook first, put the SD card into the camera, plugged the camera into the laptop USB port, then the camera powered on and started updating (blank screen, blinking blue light). When it rebooted, software was current. 👍

There's an option to choose which cameras you would like to use. Your rear camera is probably just disabled. let me know if this helps.

You might wanna try a different video player, that can usually be the issue. I personally use VLC.

Don't bother looking for them, they aren't the same. They changed them, so no more fast charge. I would just look for something similar and I do not have ay suggestions as of now.

So mine just started shutting off on its own after 2 mins of turning on. Have not done any updates out of the box, but after a year of use it just keep shutting off on its own. Any tips on how to fix?

Hmmm... I'll have to look into this one. I believe you can do a reset on the device. Maybe it's within the menu options or maybe there's a small pin hole on the camera to do a hard reset?

You can view your footage in the video file folder on the dashcam. The way you can do this is by pressing the button to stop the recording and then you press the button to access the menu where you will find the file with the video footage. To make it more simple, you can always take the micro SD card out of the camera and connect it to a compatible device like a computer and so that way you can view the files easier and with a much larger screen.

Please update the product . The inside room Cam can rotate up & Down , but cant turn towards the door to make a video outside the door , as Blueskysea B2W . So please make type of Cam that could make a video inside room as well as outside the front doors too . That can rotate horizontally too instead vertical up & Down .

I have a question, if I turn off the Loop Recording, I also have the Vantrue N4 Dash Cam, and I noticed that it seems to not record some stuff as I work for UBER and I'm missing videos. But, If I were to turn off the LOOP RECORDING, will it continuously record? Please help.

I hope you're still active I have a question so I've been using the vantrue n4 camera with the vantrue SD card 256gb for a year now and it's worked perfectly. Out of no where today it decided to show up a message saying SD Card error, please format SD card. Happen to know why? Should I get a new SD card?

I tried plugging in my N4 too because someone on Amazon told me i needed to update it because the rear camera started recording upside down for some reason. I tried updating last week and now the rear view camera isn’t working at all anymore. I have it plugged in like yours but it didn’t say anything about connecting via USB so a little help please if you can

The settings on the camera must have changed since you updated the camera. So go into your settings and look to see if the rear camera is even activated.

I didn’t let me connect via USB but i managed to find the problem. Turns out when i tried plugging it back into my car i switched the cord around so the front camera was getting power but the rear camera wasn’t. It does work correctly since i plugged it back correctly

You wouldn't want it, they ruined their products by making them cheaper and they no longer have fast charging. You are better off looking for another brand.

If you are referring to the cable that connects from the computer to the dashcam then I understand. Just use a cord with a C connector that haves a USB connector on the end.

@@mosabajwa142o Have you resolved this issue? If so then I'm not sure why it won't turn on. You may want to contact the manufacturer of the dashcam and ask them for a replacement or possibly some information you can use to fix the issue.
