Look inside if it has 2 slots for ram. My aspire 5560 has 2 but is limited to only 8gb which sucks balls. I just upgraded my hdd to ssd and then installed win10 (used to be win7).. So much faster

Hi! Have you or anyone encountered a problem like mine? Everytime I shutdown or restart my Acer aspire 5560 laptop it freezes in black screen. Already replaced its old hdd with new ssd but the problem still exist. It has a 2x2 gb ram, battery is dead but still pluggedin (i think since its not detecting/charging and i need to plugin the powercord to power my laptop) on the back. you can upgrade. but maximum ram capacity for your model is 8GB. you have to buy another 4GB ram. SSD is 2.5 download ' CPU-Z' software and run it on your laptop. it will show every hardware (cpu/ram/mother board/ ram type and speed etc..) info about your laptop. guessing from the model it is DDR 3 but speed can't guess. i recently upgraded my aspire 5755 with 4GB ram and 2.5 SSD. now ram won't cause any freezes and SSD loads programs very fast. my ram is kingston, speed 1333mhz but i couldn't find one. so i went with a samsung 1600mhz ram. no issues works fine.

No, it does not. You have to clone your HDD into the new SDD with Macrium Reflect (or other similar software). After that, you replace the old HDD with the new SSD and the pc will restart as usual
