How To Upgrade Storage On A CCTV System
How to increase storage on my existing Reolink 4K CCTV system. The CCTV system came with a 2TB Hard disk installed but I wanted to upgrade as storage was limited with only getting 2 weeks worth of footage. I want more footage recorded on the system hence why the upgrade to 6TB hdd.
Checkout my installation guide and confirm with the manufacturer before attempting of the maximum size hdd you can install on your existing CCTV system.

Mine went off Swann SRDVR-44400H years ago. It did this once and it was the power pack which I changed and it worked great. Then it did it again and it was the HDD so I changed that and it worked again. Did it again this week, so I changed the HDD from 500Gb to 1Tb and did the Initialize but this time it still comes up as 0Gb. So I thought it couldn't handle the 1Tb and so I bought a 500Gb HDD and installed that so it was the same original size again. I also put it on my computer and made sure it was FAT32. Still getting the 0Gb after the initialization? Not sure where to go from here now?

Hi my 1TB hard drive stop working in my NVR system. My question is if I replace it with a new one of the same model it would be basically plug and play right? I mean you don't have to do any programming on the new hard drive to get it to work with the NVR system right? Thanks

You upgraded to 6TB but the link is for 4TB...why? I want the 6TB as also have the 4k Reolink system.

Just double check with reolink if 6TB is supported in your NVR. Generally 4TB is fine, hence why I put the safe option.

NVR is newer with power over ethernet on cameras...DVR systems are older technology normally each camera would require a power source. Hope that helps.
