2:07 I'd reverse the 1×2 tiles for that banner for a more even checkerboard look. So from left to right, top to bottom have it black ,blue, blue, black. So there's a blue tile over the black print and a black tile over the blue half of that 1×3 "shield" tile.
@Eidolon1andOnly6 ай бұрын
Or simply reverse the two top tiles so the entire left half length is black and the entire right half length is blue from top to bottom.
@Goldfyre6 ай бұрын
Ooo, good idea. I'll try that out.
@Eidolon1andOnly6 ай бұрын
@@Goldfyre Another thing you can try which will slim down the thickness of your tapestry and make it look more realistic, would be replacing the plate that's holding all the pieces together with two 2×2 round plates with rounded bottoms (part number 2654 "Boat Stud") in either black or blue. Could also use the modified 1×2 plate with two clips (part no. 60470 "Horizontal grip") in black or blue or two 1×1 modified plates with clip (part no. 61252 "Horizontal Grip") in black and blue to match, at the top of your tapestry and clip it to a horizontal bar to resemble a properly hung tapestry. For even more added realism, you can get your tapestry to "wave" in the wind with three simple pieces, the 1×4H antenna (part no. 3957), Technic ½ pin with stud (part no. 4274 without friction ridges), and 1×1 brick with Technic hole (part no. 6541). Attach the antenna to the stud on the ½ pin, put that pin the brick with hole, clip your tapestry to the now horizontally positioned antenna, and you've got a dangling tapestry that will sway when air is blown on it or when the MOC is jostled.

I discovered him more or less by accident while scrolling through instagram. I ordered the helmets and some other stuff and it's just spectacular. And I totally agree with what you said - the fact that you wouldn't even notice that it's not lego (like some of those excessive 360 degrees leg prints) is what really sets this apart from some of the other 3rd party sellers.
@Goldfyre6 ай бұрын

The Byzantine Empire holds a special place in my heart when it comes to crafting Lego castles and delving into medieval Lego sets. Exploring the history of the Byzantine Empire adds an extra layer of fascination to my creative endeavors. One interesting fact is that they had a secret weapon called "Greek fire," a highly flammable and mysterious substance used in naval warfare. Its composition remains a historical mystery to this day. Additionally, Byzantine emperors sometimes employed eunuchs as high-ranking officials, a practice not common in many other civilizations. Basil II, also known as Basil II the Bulgar Slayer, ruled the Byzantine Empire from 976 to 1025. Here are some fun facts about him: Military Victories: Basil II achieved significant military success, particularly against the Bulgarians. He earned the title "Bulgar Slayer" due to his victories in the Balkans. Blinding of 15,000 Prisoners: After a decisive victory over the Bulgarians in 1014, Basil II reportedly ordered the blinding of 15,000 prisoners. The brutality of this act highlighted his ruthless approach to quelling revolts. Long Reign: Basil II's reign was one of the longest in Byzantine history, spanning nearly 50 years. His rule contributed to the stability and expansion of the empire. Economic Prosperity: Despite his military focus, Basil II also paid attention to economic matters. The Byzantine Empire experienced relative prosperity during his reign, fostering trade and economic growth. No Heirs: One notable aspect is that Basil II did not have any children, and his death led to a succession crisis. This contributed to the decline of the Byzantine Empire in the years following his rule.

Cultbricks is so awesome! Ive ordered a few of the rounded black falcon shields. They are so so so beautifull! My qaurd has them. I wish he restocks the new blue ones with spikes. I also have the tiles. He delivers very fast and the price is fair for the work. I have to order some parts for my village. Cultbricks is the best! There is also something you would like to see. Its a lego window with a medieval paint on. Not from cultbricks but i think you would love it!

Quick Question! Whenever you get a set, do you keep all the minifig parts in a sorted area and custom build your minifigs? Also, are there any cheap, medieval sets that you recommend?

Absolutely BANGER products. Alas, they don't ship to Canada, so I cannot partake of their awesomeness. :(
@manifestman1326 ай бұрын
I also think it looks better when its more in Lego style it just doesn’t fit when its more realistic. Early brickmania was more Legoized then the new stuff same with some brickarms.

This is the only way to have an epic lego castle army. It's understandable that it has that price yet it is a crude reality😥

Super cool stuff but can't afford $33 shipping for a few helmets. Most of these great custom printers are overseas from the U.S.

I bought those tile signs from Aliexpress. So many people selling them. Are you sure he created those?
@Ogre69726 ай бұрын
Yes, he did. The ones from Ali Express are cheap, crappy knockoffs.
@Goldfyre6 ай бұрын
All of the stuff he sells is his own design. I'm not very familiar with aliexpress but i am assuming that people on there are knocking off him and other original creators/artists.

I know that custom prints are really popular in the US, and sure, lots of it looks nice. I can't help but ending up thinking it's cheating though. Going beyond the original product kind of takes away the limitations that feed my creativity. I understand that other's like customs, but not my forte.
