Good points coach. Big mechanical adjustments should always be done in the off-season. Keep up the good work and passing on the game to others. I strive to give as much as I can back in each video. Look forward to your next video bud.

He gonna say things like "if you know the ump has a low zone then swing at the borderline strikes that are low and if you're a pitcher, keep the ball low." But the thing is, most umps are very inconsistant. For example: I had an at bat last game where the pitcher threw a 1st pitch fastball outside and he called a ball. The next pitch was the exact same pitch but he called it a strike. I know how to adjust to to bad umps but I have no idea what to do if they're inconsistant.

Xx_sc3pt1c_f0x_xx X appreciate the umps you have because they are very very hard to come by these days... if it is close enough to call a strike then you should be a hitter not a watcher...

How you hit fast pitches with a little bit of movement especially when you are at a younger age that you want to train for fast pitches because you growing up and pitchers throw harder so I hit fast pitches do you any drill for that?
@sethru45 жыл бұрын
Coach Justin I don’t throw the ball as fast as other kids for pitching at 15u level, so I have to move the ball more around the plate. Is there any tips or drills you suggest to have better control of the ball and move the ball more around the plate. The pitches that I normally throw is a 2 seam fastball, 4 seam fastball, circle change up, and a curve ball.

Start to work out if you want to gain some velocity and do long toss a few times a week but make sure your arm doesn’t get too sore. And every time you throw a baseball no matter what aim for a target (chest/glove) and try to be right on target every throw but don’t think about it too much. Work on having good mechanics too

Can you further explain what you mean by getting your load against your backside and not over it? Are you referring to not leaning out towards the plate vs. keeping your weight on that back leg?
@menofgodalways32165 жыл бұрын
Im pretty sure he means to not lose balence and stay level but still het your power from your back leg. So i think hes saying dont lean too far back
@jasonfritz8385 жыл бұрын
@@menofgodalways3216 That's what I figured he meant, just a tiny bit confused by the language.

Go hit basketballs off a tee or weighted balls & Try to work out a little doing push ups and sit ups. And try and have good mechanics when you swing for the best possible hits 👍

Hey Justin, brother, in summer ball this year I'm crushing fastballs and almost never missing them when i get them, but the curveball has been eating me alive. This is the first year I'm seeing this many of them, and I'm kinda just freezing up on them and not taking aggressive swings at them because I'm not really reading it great. Any tips?
@sukonmahdik64905 жыл бұрын
Have some one pitch to you or soft toss, randomly while they are throwing every few balls have them pause and not throw the ball. When they’re paused You should be loaded in your swing but able to stop comfortably to where you can still turn on the ball. This way when a curve ball comes you can recognize and unload on it and if it’s a fast ball still do the same
