The original wood looks perfect. Beautiful color, so I'm not sure why you'd need to change that to a flat grey? I agree that the fabric is dated and the result you acquired with the sister chair is really nice with the fabric complimenting the painted wood. But you could have left the original wood and recovered with a fabric equally as flattering to the brown wood as the end result you achieved with the grey & grey and white fabric. I have chairs that I'd like to finish to the original wood color of your first chair, but I'm not sure how it's done. You do excellent work.

This was super helpful! I’d love to buy the fabric you removed...is it for sale? I clean, block, and mount vintage needle work in frames so this “art” isn’t lost.

Yes it was beautiful and honestly although she did a fantastic job I much prefer the chair as was in terms of decor!

Is it necessary to use the pneumatic gun? I don’t have one and I am just doing one chair and don’t feel like I want to invest. I’m assuming it just makes the job easier you give great instruction!

That was so cute before. I have beef with all these makeovers that turn everything soulless and gray

I felt this was too rushed. It would not have been too long if you showed how to do the back and took time and showed more. I have the same chairs that need a lot of stripping and sanding plus the chair is 100 years old and never reupholster so I need to put new everything on it. I just think this would have been more informative if more was shown.
