Where is next video that shows putting material on with curve ease?

I am working on a chair that has cardboard. It is curve around the sides and back of the chair. Total of 3 pieces. Can you tell me how old this velvet chair might be? I cut my fabric to this shape. And now I have an overlap of the back onto both sides and across the top where I have the metal Pli grip. Do the edges have to but up to each other?
