*Great product. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I have never used a baitcaster before and did a lot of research before buying this one. I bought it with the Torrent casting rod as well and it works very nice.*

yea the distance he told might be incorrect but at least he spend that effort and tried to help newbiea to understand a bc functionality so just don mind about how far the cast is and how he estimate that distance.

True. I bought my first bait cast reel and decided to night fish lol bird nest within 30 mins. I casted just as far as him before it hit the knot. But still help me understand the bait caster a whole lot better

Bro thank you so much you actually helped me unlike the other channels that try and help with a baitcasting reel and not specific at all, now thanks to you I am able to make very good casts at about 40-75 yards, bro you are the most specific person that I've ever seen on KZbin 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

Thanks for the video. Bought one of these on sale at Walmart a few years ago, still haven't used it because I've used spinning reels all my life. Thing is, using a bait casting reel looks so cool I had to have one.

You forgot to adjust and mention the braking system...... You get a feel for your casting reel you can chuck a 1/2 trap over 60 yards.
@Emericj8 жыл бұрын
60 yards like he counts them or real yards? Cause this nigga said 40 yards and it went like 4.
@Tikimohn8 жыл бұрын
+Emericj2245 real sixty yards. I chuck half oz and heavier that far or farther all the time. only problem I have on those really long casts is hooksets when you get hit that far out, for me it's mostly cuz I'm using mono which has stretch to it and at that distance it creates a lag, it mostly effects topwater strikes since fish usually hook themselves on rattle traps.
@awmarlow89 жыл бұрын
You're correct, we did see that hit the water. More like 14 ft...Should have edited that part out or done some more practicing homie.

@justinpeebles66589 жыл бұрын
Actually you don't cast it like you would any other reel. You cast a bait caster smooth. The closed-face is for the rooks. The spinner is for the normal guy who hits a pond every now and then. Then there it is. The precise performance of the bait-caster;)
@Clodknocker9 жыл бұрын
That's right you don't cast a baitcaster like any other reel you don't whip it you just cast it back smooth forwards smooth
@grizzskoalcope9 жыл бұрын
Justin Peebles i agree i started with a closed face when i was little, been using higher-end spinning reels for a few years now and im looking into getting a bait caster now that i go fishing almost every weekend

You should do the follow up part where you do everything right.
Can i ask a question, untill now i was using a drumm reel and i was using my left hand to reel and my right hand for pulling the rod.Should i buy a left hand baitcast(meaning that the reeling lever is on the left side) or a right?
@ACowboyandACampfire8 жыл бұрын
its best to go with whatever side your writing hand is on but more importantly whatever is most comfortable
@hans.karrer9 жыл бұрын
First, your settings are REALY too tight.Secondly,there is another break that you did not talk about wich is very useful.With your current settings,you can only cast infront of you.Also,you have to put your thumbs to stop the line otherwise it will do a birdnest.Please learn before making a tutorial video.
@keiranrooker68619 жыл бұрын
Don't forget to put your thumb on the line near the end so you don't spool out

40 yards my ass... Dude that was like 4 feet away... And you don't start off casting like a spinning rod, you start off casting slowly from the side... If you whip it like a spinning reel your spool will come out too fast and when it hits the water the spool will keep moving since baitcasters free spinning spools... This will also cause backlashing if you're anything less than perfect when it comes to slowing it down effectively with your thumb

Not a good video, constructive criticism. Get a tripod or something for the video. Loosen the tension knob so it will birdsnest when it hits the water/ground. Set your brake up to where it won't birds nest at the start of the cast, I keep my magnetic brake at about half way. Then tighten the tension knob to where the reel will continue to turn a small amount after the lure hits the water. You can also tighten it up some more so it stops right when it hits the water but I prefer to just thumb it a little on the back end of the cast. Then you just adjust the tension knob based on the weight of different lures.
