I bought a beard kit on Amazon that had a link to the explanation of the smoke and it was in a different language, was 20 seconds, and had no explanation of the smoke. I've heard pure argan oil is a good heat shield as it has a high burn point

Just dont put high temperature. If you put under 180*c you have no risk, more than 180 you are at risk of damaging your beard
