Wow. That WORKED. I installed a brand new fan and it wobbled. The user's instructions had nothing on "how to balance" but a balancing kit was in the box. I didn't even know what that kit was, until I watched Del Mar's video on this point. THANK YOU.

Bin sehr zufrieden und möchte Thank You for this video sagen. Beste Grüße von Peter aus MV (Germany)

Thanks for the info!! though, I can't measure each blade as the ceiling slopes. (from the previous comment) I will try measuring from the same spot on the ceiling to see if that works to find if some of the blades might be sagging. Our blades are hardwood and highly curved so I doubt they would sag much.
@egpetiluna6 жыл бұрын
Hi Thanks for the tips..But how we will know if there are more blades not balanced?
@stevenschoenfeld74055 жыл бұрын
Another tip is to measure the distance of each blade from the ceiling to the the blade tip. If one or more is different grasp the metal arm and bend it accordingly. That helped immensely on my fan.

How do you stop a humming sound that only happens in one direction, and not the other? The direction hums only in counterclockwise. Also it's only a 4 blade fan, and the installation was not flush with the ceiling, if that helps you understand the situation more. The button is located on top of the blades as well.

Thanks for the tip. I didnt have the balancing kit, so I used one of those dollar store clips/clamp thingies for sealing a bag of potato chips closed and it worked perfectly.

+Chris Rodriguez You're the best! I had one on a potato chip bag clips around so I borrowed it to at least see if I could do some fan balancing. It worked. Now I will wait for the magnet and put it in the same spot (inner part of blade).

Glafkos Obion Thanks for the question! Your ceiling fan should not be shaking after using a ceiling fan balancing kit. Try tightening the screws on the canopy cover, mounting bracket, downrod and blades.
