@FlamingAngel20122 ай бұрын
Your video came up when I typed in basic instructions to circular saws. I am a 54 yr old grandmother who lives in a 30 yr old 5th wheel. I have waited and waited for help from all my loved ones with busy schedules and empty promises so I have decided to do it on my own ...I was raised on a farm and although I've never done this type of thing before I jumped in with both feet. I went to the pawn shop and bought a DeWalt worm circular saw. It's a bit heavy considering I just had rotator cuff surgery.... But guess that's reason to keep it unplugfed til I have all my materials and use it as a weight lifter to get used to the weight, but next month I PLAN on tearing out part of my floor where there are 2 holes from water damage previous to me buying the trailer. Because it was unevenly lived in. So, I am learning the basics as an old lady. But by dog it I am determined. And I plan on vlogging every bit of it once I start. Mistakes and all. For me it is a new learning experience and n self sufficient as an older woman alone on my own. In home repairs. I want other women who feel as lost as I do, to not feel so scared and lost about this type of thing. So in my eyes you are a God send right now. I did zero homework on saws...I just picked one that wasn't too heavy or too slow lol. And I know DeWalt is a good brand and this saw ..has seen some hard days, by someone who keep it Workin Alot. 😂 I also bought a drill and later a universal drill pack with new bits because the one I bought has a rusty flat head screwdriver but in it

I have inherited a Black and Decker battery driven circular saw. I'm a bit pleased with myself as when I first tried to charge the battery it was on the charger for hours and didn't get charged. I nearly bought a new saw but I thought I should give it another try. That was when I noticed that one of the contacts on the battery was green. I got a little strip of sandpaper and cleaned the contact up and voila the battery charged. So now I have used it a bit. It seemed OK at first but later the saw kept stopping. I thought maybe the battery was not holding its charge well so that it was not giving the saw enough power but when I put the battery back in the charger it appeared to have plenty of charge. One suggestion online was that the blade maybe loose. So I'm here to see whether there is something that I am doing wrong or to find out how to tighten the blade.
