I would never clay a car without polishing it afterwards because claying a car will often times leave some microscratches. Also is it the perfect opportunity to do so because the clay will take off even the smallest residues that were on the paint, so you can achieve the best results. And then you seal it in perfect condition. 👌

Highly recommend at least a 1 step polish before the coating just to remove small imperfections like miscroscratches and swirls aswell as light marring a clay bar might leave.

Yes, but in the process you will realize that vertical panels are much less contaminated. Usually, the hood, roof and trunk are the worst when it comes to contamination
