Playing black ops 2 on a ps4 controller and I can’t knife and shoot at the same time. Like the right trigger and pressing the right joystick does the same feature to what I have on setting. I try to switch just one but it only does both. Really annoying

Just to let everyone know if you enable Steam input and use standard layout you can set sub commands to the D-pad to allow full menu control... was looking for a way to fix the menu issue just now and discovered this fix myself while tinkering around with steam input. I,m using an Xbox series controller but the same should apply to a PS controller as well.

in older cods you only have 1 sens. They don't seperate from ADS and Hipfire.

First, I have to ask if you are playing wired or through Bluetooth? PS4 controllers seem to hate Windows connections via Bluetooth, and even can act funny sometimes when plugged in through usb, but are at least more stable. And I’m just gonna need you to expand on how the button layouts are crazy if nothing works.

@@hayden_walton Yes sir.. like my R3 button is to switch weapons and R1 switches weapons and no button throws a lethal.. lol im telling you its so funny, i dont understand i play all my games with a controller NONE of them do this.. and black ops was my fav game growing up and i hate that i cant enjoy it on PC.. and even if i could get the controller to work the lobbies are "nuke town 24/7" and 1 or 2 FFA and TDM its just sad.

If it is a wireless controller normally but you are attempting to plug a cable into it and your PC, your PC will interpret it erratically.

@@hayden_walton i found a way to get it to work i figured out that the pc wasnt recognizing it as an xbox controller. I used a progam called input mapper to make the controller show up as an xbox controller on windows.

On steam if you go to library then click bo1. Go to controller or settings. Steam will allow you to change you controller settings for just bo1. I had to do this for obscure cause it’s an old ps2 game

I got Black ops from steam which says “partial controller support”. So I have a wired xbox one controller for pc. When I connect it I cant press A for enter and its not moving with my joystick. Also the look sens is very high in game. How can I fix this?

@@paninizachini I fixed it. You have to go to steam>CoD black ops Multiplayer > click on settings next to the “i” icon. > Manage > Controller layout. Then you can change the look sens. You can only navigate through menus by mouse only.

Not sure, usually comes down to Bluetooth kinda sucking on pc, honestly I prefer like a $15 wired controllers for my pc cuz it’s more reliable for that even though Xbox wireless controllers are great when on an actual Xbox.

I don’t have one, but the best option with that is to plug it into your computer and leave it plugged in to get it to work roughly the same way as the Xbox controller, but they disconnect a little more frequently in my experience.
