How to Use a Credit or Debit Card Machine

Here I present a simple instructional video on how to use a credit or debit machine.... you know, the ones at stores when you try to pay for them. I was inspired by a jpmetz video to make this. Here is a link for the original video in case she doesn't allow me to post this as a response the hell.

I really needed this so my social anxiety can get in check before I go buy something at Riteaid.. My mom got me a debit card when I was 16 and I’m 17 now and I still haven’t used it once (well only for online shopping😅) and now since my dad sent me some money from the stimulus check, he excepts me to use it in person. And I’m gaining so much anxiety because what if I forget my pin!! I have it somewhere safe but like- I zone out in public and makes me forget everything. The only difference is that running like a debit requires a pin verification, and running like a credit may only require a signature verification, or none at all (if the amount is small enough). Credit cards can only be run as a credit.

@Fmiguelify But like ev said, if you have a credit card like discovery,capital one,american express,visa credit card,or mastercard credit-use credit & use your signature. This card allows u to spend money you don't have at the moment & pay it back later(end of month). Usely w/ an interest rate charged by one of the companies listed above. But if you have a debit card. Which is given to you directly from your personal bank & gives you acess to your personal account than that is a debit card.

In Australia, Debit is listed as Savings, and there's a Cheque option. Also, we don't have any fancy touch screen machines. We have BUTTONS.

well for people with financial problem or never have credit before some banks will offer a secure credit card. A secure credit card is a card that you put your money in and use it without have to worry about going negative=bad credit, because as soon as you run out money the card become useless secure credit card is a good way to get good credit and there are other types of credit card so that why he said it complicate to explain. @Fmiguelify they ask for ur signature.There's no real difference between credit & debit.Credit they ask for ur signature & it's more like the i'll pay the money back later option) if your account balance is $50. u spend $54. ur account will be negative 4 dollars, however the bank doesn't charge you an overdraft fee untill 24 hrs later. So you have untill 24 hrs to pay back the $4 or else you will pay $4 dollars + the overdraft fee. This also dependents on ur bank & if you overdraft protection.

@Lodrongirl The difference is much more important than what has been described to you below, debit means that it's money being deducted that you have, that you have earned and that is in your bank account, real money that exists. Credit means you'll be paying with money that you don't have right now, but will have to pay back later and you're borrowing the money from the bank on credit, which you can pay back whenever you choose to.

In the UK we don't have swipers we shove our cards in a slot and the machine gobbels it up! First time u do it you panic a bit and it's like "Where did it take my card! Ahhh, i will never see it again" And when in some machines u put you're card in it will slowly take it in then swallow it and a second later it will reject it and take it back in again. But there always fun! I have had a card for 3 years and still get excited when i use a ATM! Sometimes check balance just for fun! haha :)
