I have watched multiple videos on how to use these jigs and yours is by far the best 👌. All of your methods shown lead to the most accurate joints with the least amount measuring, almost foolproof. Thanks for making it

I have one of these jigs - with horrible instructions that don't go much further than moving the L shaped measuring bar. I didn't know you could do all of this with it. This has just saved me a lot of sweat and guesswork for a Sunday project!! Thank you!

nice tutorial! but for connection 2 there is another faster way a slots in the vertical stop is made for this purpose starting from 4:25, you need to turn the tool with the handle up, and the vertical stop away from you. so that the dowel gets into the corresponding slot

I have a question. I recently bought 10mm wood dowels but I dont undsrstand which wood brill bit to use to make a hole. I have 8mm and 10mm wood drill bit. 8mm hole for too small for 10mm dowel and 10mm hole was somewhat looks a bit loose for 10mm dowel.
@davidvintr300715 күн бұрын
Tak potom něco není 10mm - buď vrták nebo kolíky. Jiná možnost není. 10mm je vždy 10mm ! 👍🤠

Hi, I purchased one of these jigs when I saw your video, It came with three small pieces with points on one surface and the other end seems to fit inside the drill bit holes (3 different sizes) Could you please explain what these are for? They have me stumped, I thought maybe they were for scribing a line in the timber to show where the dowels could be fitted, but if that's the case, they'd always fall out and there's no way to anchor them in place. There's nothing worse than having parts for a Chinese gadget and there's no instructions :-) Thanks for your video.

An important safety tip. Do not pull the trigger on the drill to load or unload a drill bit. The day will come when the drill bit will get caught at an angle between the jaws in the chuck, and then you'll have a partly loaded drill bit flying around near your hand, with the power of your drill behind it. Load and unload drill bits manually. Absolutely do not use the power of the drill to tighten the bit into place. Trust me, I've seen the outcome of not following this simple rule, and it's not pretty.
