Dribble bar great for growing grass but the macinator in our hi spec can be a pain in the hole if it starts getting blocked but it's the way all slurry have to be spread in a few years time

The big lady (6499) would look well on the new tanker

Or get a big 3500 / 4000 gal tanker on twin axles 😍😍

How would you unblock the tanker if a stone gets into it?

Phil i notice you bought masteck dribble bar i hear lads criticising them for the way they are mounted causing stress and strain on tankers that were only designed to carry a splash plate what's your opinion?
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t think there’s any massive amount of strain on the back of the tanker but I can see it may become a problem when the metal starts to get thin on the inside of the tanker
@Daniel-mu4ms5 жыл бұрын
Well Phil would you do a more detailed video about how the macerator works and everything like that pls?
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
Will do when it’s back out in action
@aidanmunnelly7695 жыл бұрын
Hi Phil. Great vid. Why do you switch the oil flow to change the direction of the chopper? Do you add much water per bay when spreading with dribble bar ?
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
In the video I do it because the tractor gets it hard to pull the tanker with a full load on soft ground and drive the maserator but in normal situations I would still do it but not as frequent so that the blades in the maserator wear evenly, that used to be key in the longevity of a volgestien maserator. For the dribble bar tanker I find it doesn’t need to be any more wartery than you would have normal slurry for a splash plate tanker

Well Phil.... question for ya.... would a 4270 be able to drive a 2000 tanker and mastek dribble bar
@lukepurcell285 Жыл бұрын
Only one way to find out but I would imagine so
@georgedoorley56285 жыл бұрын
would a tractor with poor hydraulic flow from the tractors pump , say a fiat ,,,, be fit to drive the macarator at low revs .......
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
i imagine it should be able, the maserator doesn't need to spin fast once its going round at all you should be in business provided the poor flow doesn't cause the maserator to jam often

Y did u go for a dribbel bar not the traled shoe just wondering what yr opinion is
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
The trail shoe has a higher maintenance because of how it has extra moving parts over the dribble bar which is simpler and the do pretty much the exact same job
@jackcliffe97045 жыл бұрын
@@FARMERPHIL3690 would u recommend the mastek dribble bar to a dairy farmer that is only doing his own slurry
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
yes great machine would recommend to everyone

Is the dribble bar heavy on the back of the tank
@FARMERPHIL36905 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t think it’s overly heavy and I’ve never had any trouble with soft ground but then I have extra wide tires so
