I really appreciate your video on the Drift Anchor. Great tip along with an informative video. I would like to ask if you could tie it off just in front of your motor using a "Y - Spliced Rope" to better help your boat drifting straight? Thanks again for your tips. Steve

Can this be use on a kayak

I'm looking to use a drift sock when I'm anchored. Trying to use sock to straighten boat out in the wind. What size sock or socks should I use? 21' aluminum StarCraft with a 115 4 stroke Merc?? Do I tie sock to each corner on back of boat or just use one tied to the middle of back of boat??

You attach your drift sock/s on the front of your boat. That way your bow faces the wind and provides a more stable and comfortable boat.

Better off attaching it to the stern so you can fish off the back of the boat.

The yellow line is for filling the bag at the boat. There is a loop on the small end that you tie the collapse/retrieve line to.

How deep do i set the chute?
@CaptCharlieThomason7 ай бұрын
Depth doesn’t come into play, the sock will go to the depth it needs to so the weight of your boat and the speed of the wind will justify depth, length of rope will be the only thing you have to trial and error to make it perfect!
