Absolutely new to power tools and I was struggling to understand how to put the screw bit in since the first metal disk was spinning on its own and nothing was happening. The chuck's screw was a little tight and I didn't want to damage it. Thanks for making this video. It helped me out quite a bit. It'll also be good to add these basic instructions to the user manual.

As a fellow newcomer, I encountered the exact same confusion as you did. Glad this video showed how to do it, and I agree that the user manual should make this clear. The way the lock/unlock metal disk is labeled and moves makes it seem like you turn that metal disk itself to lock and unlock the chuck or the trigger.

Good intro video - specifically, I like that you have three different models displayed of the drill. I found a user created how-to video and they were like "there's a switch at the top to go into screwdriver mode" and no, my particular model did not have that switch. However, this video explained that it was simply combined with the clutch in the model that I have, so it doesn't matter. And it also explained that the harder materials will need the higher number. Thank you!

Thanks for this video. I’m not sure it quite lives up to its title of ‘how to use a drill/driver 101’ though. It’s more a solid overview of the features. If you ever wanted to take it to another level, I’d suggest splicing in some footage at a couple of points, or at the end (‘now let’s see a few of these features in action’). For example someone adjusting the clutch and showing the difference with some screws. I wish I knew how to use that better, I’m a total amateur.

How do you know when you have the correct drill bit for the project?
@Madebyshannonevans2 жыл бұрын
There are a few factors to consider. What is the hole being drilled for? If you are drilling a hole as a "pilot" for your fastener or screw to be guided so you don't "crack" or "split" your matrial, go slightly smaller than the diameter of your screw. If your drill bit creates a hole that is too big, the screw can't grip the walls of the material inside for the hold to be effective. If you are drilling a hole for an anchor in a wall, your anchor kit should tell you the size, but start small if you are unsure as you can always drill a bigger hole, but can't ever make a hole smaller! Does that help?
