How to use a hand riveter . We use a rivet gun to do auto body work in this video

In this video i show how to use a hand riveter. I select the correct size rivet for the hole that will be drilled and connect pieces of metal together.

also trying to fix some rust holes in a car. Rivets have advantage that you don't need access to back side to tighten a nut (for screws), in car body you may not have access to back side. Another method is to just patch holes with fiberglass putty and some metal mesh (just to hold the putty in place). That putty gets really hard in 30min and then you can sand it and prime/paint it. With rivets or screws, there will still be some signs of repair once you are done. With fiberglass, it may look perfect.
