Hi, nice explanation. Just for interest - it's been about a fortnight since I repaired the programmable lighting controller and one diode in the bridge was damaged - a discharge in the circuit of the source part (the glue fixing the parts overheated to the point of burning to carbon and creating a bridge through which the discharge passed). When tested with the diode test of the multimeter, it had a normal voltage drop, but when I checked the diodes with a curve tracer, the exact same picture as shown in the video came up - The negative voltage part of the curve goes down - it shows resistance. Not having a curve tracker I didn't find her fault. Happy new year and have a great day 🙂 Tom

Just make your own. Parts cost about 1 dollar( a AC 9v transformer, 1 resistor). And you also need one XY scope😊

A single range tester and you still need to have an o-scope. Not even a close comparison to a modern Tracker.
