Another tip, you can team a smartLav+, and two mobile phones for really high production quality value phone videos. One phone on a gimbal or tripod to record video and an ambient audio reference track, while the talent's voice is recorded via smartLav+ onto a phone in their pocket using either the camera app or even a dedicated sound recording app for higher quality audio files. I've also used this to make a discreet audio recording device while I've shot the corresponding video hand holding my drone. I think personally it makes the smartLav+ a better choice no matter what you're recording video on.

You can easily fix nasal vocals by using an Eq. Nasal frequency can range from around 1KHz to 2.5KHz (especially 2KHz to 2.5KHz). Now you can mess around with any EQ and reduce those frequencies. Listen closely as you reduce those and try not to overdo it as those frequencies generally contain most vowels. Reducing any kind of frequencies may result in an increase of others, so please be a little careful. Hope that helps!

So there are a couple of solutions for this: you can connect two lavaliers to a device like an Ai-Micro and then plug that into a smartphone or computer for your interviews. Or you can use a lavalier with a Wireless GO II or Wireless ME via the 3.5mm jack for up to two mics per receiver (this can be used with your camera, phone or computer).

How to separate audio output for speakers when we connect the lab mic to 3.5 mm port in laptop. Since the port is common for output and input
@atlas6842 Жыл бұрын
If I were to plug the Lavalier mic into my computer.. that would suggest I'm doing this for audio only purposes correct? And If I were to lug it into a camera.. one would assume for audio & visual? Then upload the, just the footage from the SD card onto our editing software and the microphone sound will have been picked up? Or is there a seperate file needed to upload the sound from the mic as well? Secondly.. how does one connect TWO lavalier microphone inputs into both options ie: Laptop for just sound, or camera for film as well? Is there a second compatible device needed?

Can I connect the SmartLav+ mygga to my Zoom H1 with the Line In on the zoom?

I believe the 3.5mm audio input on the H1 is a TRS port. To use the smartLav+ with this type of input, you'll need the SC3 TRRS to TRS adaptor. Alternatively, the Lavalier GO will be directly compatible.

Really! Pointing this mic sideways may work in a closed controlled studio environment, however using it outside or in a noisey environment is not going to be ideal as unwanted noise will get into the mix more prevalently. In addition, the weight and bulk of the mic is pulling her collar down in an obvious way, which otherwise would’ve looked great. I wonder if this is the actual audio from the mic! Just as well Helena is wearing a black shirt, as it does reduce the distraction. Also, why have background music when you’re trying to feature the mic! On another note, I have been waiting for about 2 months for Rode to supply VXLR+ adapter’s. What’s going on. I thought their product’s are made in Australia. Not really good enough Rode.
