Lee and Tiffany demonstrate the importance of the Lineman's Belt when ascending a tree. The Lineman's Belt serves two purposes: 1) a safe way to anchor to the tree during climbing and tree stand setup and 2) a tethering point once on top of the tree stand. The Summit Lineman's Belt is included with every Summit Treestand. It is considered a requirement when using a tree stand in any capacity.

So u can use these as both a tether and a lineman's rope? I just bought a saddle and the guy at the store recommended I just get 2 of these and use them for a tether and a belt instead of buying the over priced latitude lineman's belt and tree tether. Wanted almost 150 bucks for both and he said they were no different than 2 summit lineman's belts except that the summits only come with 1 carabineer instead of 2. Was fine because I already had 1 of the exact same carabineers that comes with it and I bought an extra better one just in case.

Im looking for a good safety harness with legit linesman's belt. Also serve me as a deer drag. The loops on the harness in the vid dont give me the confidence that this piece of gear will keep me safe for the next 15 years. One frayed stich and id be skeptical. There has to be something out there that meets my needs!! Without trying it on I guess I can't say for sure. Anyone have any input? If so ty for your time.

Not a lineman's belt, a lineman's belt goes around your waist. You are talking about a pole strap or rope.
