You people really like microscopes. In Japan, nobody does that because they are not laboratory animals, but how can we improve their health and boost their immunity? That is our trend.

@@myboyskoi It is an example of what your predecessors imitated when breeders landed them from mud ponds. We hobbyists obviously don't need to do that if we have a proper annual schedule for buying and growing.

@@myboyskoi Yes. Flukes problems can be prevented by increasing body size and putting subcutaneous fat and mucous during the feeding period to increase immunity and minimise the opportunity for KOI replacement. Almost none of the Japanese hobbyists have a microscope on hand at all times.
