I’ve seen many planner content creators have the same comments about HP making more basic and empty layout, however, I feel that’s the beauty of stickers. You can disguise anything you don’t like and make it yours. I don’t agree with HP changing the current layout for something less because it works for many people who are minimal and don’t like to decorate, and the layout itself is for a very straight use. My comment is not personal, is just that I keep listening the same thing from a lot content creators. I love how you decorate every spread and your creativity. Thank you for always giving helpful tips and ideas.

I use the monthly layout as my budget planner. The sections include the obvious financial trackers, a section for savings, a section for debt (credit cards, loans, etc.), a section for retirement, The biggest area is a list of all my monthly expenses ( with the due date, and I write the date I paid), a section for my savings challenges, and three long term financial goals. Then of course the next couple of pages is where I write down every penny I spend each day during the month. With beginning and end of the month totals. Then the last couple of notes pages, I write down categories, such as food, takeout, gas, etc., and at the end of the month add up the totals for each category and compare to the previous month. The last note page I use to kind of sum up the month on how I did. Did I spend way too much money on planner stuff or takeout, and what changes do I need to do next month. I don't necessarily budget for food, etc., but this allows me to really notice where my money is going and what things I need to change. Mary Ellen you always inspire and I love all your spreads as always.

Wowzersssss finally someone who’s making a video on monthly layout planners. I’ve been using this spread for quite some time now and let me tell you it was so hard for me to find a way to use it at first. Even now (that I’ve used it for sometime) I struggle at times and it leads me to recycle some of my old weekly sheets from a vertical or horizontal spread. Thank You Mary Ellen I so look forward to hopefully seeing more videos like these

OMG! Finally, a planner that will work for me. As an author, I have different items to track, like word count, and social media (when I become less introverted!) Now to find one of these babies! It sure won't be in Wyoming. LOL I love what you created on this spread!

I love the idea of the monthly planner. But, I could never wrap my mind fully around it. I wish HP would add a full notes double page spread between the last perpetual calendar page, the weekly pages, and the currently pages. This way we could easily pull out or swap months from different planners. We could pop something like the monthly layout into a regular weekly at the end to use as TO DO lists or we could pop in extra notes pages, if we need them. One can dream. 💗🤩

I use this planner for my work stuff, but the past month or two I've hardly touched these pages, I mostly use the daily lists to make notes of how my shift went, what was done/missed there were important to note. The most these pages get for decoration is numbers for the date and colour coding on the calendar. I have struggled with this spread for a bit because the titles aren't what I need but despite doing it in nearly every other planner I have, I never thought to change them here, might try that now, thanks :)

Great timing as I’ve just tried out a monthly layout for the first time and I only added a few quotes because I wasn’t sure how to decorate it but you’ve inspired me to add a bit more decoration though I’m using it for my social media/small business planner so it’s mainly functional. Your pages looked so pretty!

Mary Ann I bought the new 18 month Gratitude classic planner. It has quite a few pages in it that are not the monthly or the weekly parts. There's self reflection, gratitude tracking etc. I would really love to see what you would do with those. 💜

I think that's one of my main issues with lighting but I really want to get out of that habit. Like I've never feel like I have enough sticker books but I hardly use the 10 that I already do have ( I know that not alot for some but for me it is. I keep buying them but not using them)

All the HP planners have currently pages. They are the last page of each month (the page before the tab for the new month). You’ll find one in basically every Happy Planner planner.
